New Indian Express, Hyderabab India, October 20, 2001 -- Four Soft Private has launched an integrated enterprise-wide application, 4S e-Supply, for the transportation and logistics industry that will help freight companies reduce their cost of operations by at least 5 percent. The company provides software development services for exchanges and e-commerce applications. 4S is ideally suited to companies in the business of freight forwarding, logistics, distribution, supply chain management services, and trading.
The product can be used as an integrated solution or in modules based on the specific needs of end users. The product has been developed in Four Soft's development center in Hyderabad.
"Four Soft has leveraged the domain knowledge gained form the cumulative experience and expertise of its managing team and employees to build the world's first integrated application in the world. The product has been designed completely on J2EE architecture, a web-centric architecture. No other technology could have been used to build this application," said Mr. Palem Srikanth, Managing Director, Four Soft Private at a conference here on Friday. The board members of Four Soft include Mr. Suresh Rajpal, ex-president of Hewlett Packard India, Mr. Koh Boon Hwee, chairman of Singapore Airlines, Mr. Doug Ash, ex-president MSAS/Exel, and Mr. David Beatson, ex-president Emery Worldwide, while Mr. Hwee, Mr. Rijpal, and Mr. Kim Ho Kee, ex-president UBS Asia Pacific are the investors.
The products are available on a license basis or can be customized through an on-site and offshore development and support model. The flagship product 4S e-Supply offers a twin suite supply chain solution and can be used in modules such as e-Trans and e-Log.
e-Trans is a multi-modal freight management system and meets all the information requirements of freight providers in moving their shipments across various geographical locations.
The B2B enterprise application handles all operational, customer relations, financial, marketing and sales information need of the multi-modal transportation firms. This application is also available on an ASP service to small transportation companies.
e-Log is a complete logistics management system that meets the need for any type of logistics management in the supply chain right from manufacturing to distribution. |
