Express Computers(Mumbai), Hyderabad, India, January 20, 2003 -- Malaysian company Cen-tury Logistics has selected the eSupply-SP product suite from the Hyderabad-based Four Soft as a platform to build their global supply chain management (SCM) services business. This selection comes less than one year after Four Soft launched the first and only Web-centric integrated enterprise application suite for the freight and logistics industry.
The solution will enable Century to have a single SCM operating system covering all modes of transportation with integrated logistics and accounting to support their business.
eSupply-SP product suite is made up of two fully integrated components of e-trans and e-log that can work together or independently. It enables supply chain trading partner collaboration to enhance customer service and satisfaction.
eSupply-EP provides enterprise solutions to companies that have intense procurement and distribution activities by linking the functions of order management, warehouse management and transportation management onto a Web-centric solution.
Century Logistics’ employees, partners and customers will benefit from the in-built integration of multi-modal transportation operations and the ability to integrate with other Century Group systems, thus enabling improved cost efficiencies.
Four Soft’s revenue will be to the tune of $250,000 from this contract, over a period of 3-6 months from the date of contract.
“Four Soft was our choice because of its cutting edge technology, superior functionality and its commitment to work with us to achieve our vision to build global freight forwarding and logistics systems. We were looking for an integrated multi-modal transportation operating system to handle our domestic and international freight operations for all offices worldwide and Four Soft provided the best portfolio of products supported by technological advancement,” said M Amin, deputy managing director of Century Group.
“Their selection of Four Soft solutions to support Century’s best services confirms our belief that many other SCM companies will follow,” said Palem Srikanth, managing director of Four Soft India.
Century Group will use e-trans as a foundation to co-develop and implement a world class freight solution, which will be implemented worldwide and will also be integrated with other Century Group systems. The project commenced in January 2003 and the first module is expected to go live in three months, and the complete implementation is scheduled within six months.
