Hyderabad, March 04, 2005 -- Four Soft, a Hyderabad-based enterprise solutions company, is scouting for companies for acquisition in order to expand its presence in various geographies. "We are aggressively scaling up our presence globally. Though Four Soft has sales offices in Europe, Netherlands, Singapore, China, Shanghai, etc., we want to focus more on the US and UK markets, as they are the major growth areas. We are looking out for companies in the space where we are operating with a sound customer base," said Four Soft MD, Palem Shrikanth.
Four Soft offers integrated enterprise solutions in transportation, logistics and supply chain process management besides offering IT consultancy services. Shrikanth claims, "There are players like SAP, Oracle etc. in the ERP space providing applications in various verticals but in the transportation and the logistics vertical, as of yet Four Soft is the only global player providing integrated services in this vertical."
In October 2004, the company acquired CargoMate for around Euro 1.4 million, thereby strengthening its base in the European market.
The company will employ both organic and inorganic means for growth. Shrikanth added, "We are running in excess of nearly Rs 30 crore. Money is not an issue if we come across a good company. We are willing to spend anything between $ one million to $10 million."
Presently, with a team of around 220 employees, the company is betting high on the transportation and logistics vertical. "The US market alone for transportation and logistics, excluding services could be pegged around $ 500 million and if we consider the global market it could run up to some billions. It's a flourishing market and now companies are equally finding the need for centralizing their applications and in such a scenario our application proves to be efficient," informed Shrikanth.
The company not just integrates applications running in various geographies, but also substantially reduces the cost of processing one transaction. "In the US, it costs $100 to just process one transaction apart from the transportation costs, right from shipment to delivery. But with our integrated solution, the costs could be brought down to $60 dollars per transaction," he added. |
