Four Soft (4S) (NSE: "FOURSOFT", BSE: 532521), a global leader offering software solutions for transportation and logistics industry, today announced financial results for its first quarter ended June 30, 2009. The company achieved revenues of Rs. 357 million for the first quarter with operating PAT of Rs. 42.2 million. However, the actual reported PAT is Rs. 4.8 million due to forex loss of Rs.37.3 million during the quarter. The results for the current quarter are not strictly comparable with corresponding previous quarter as the quarter ended June 30, 2008 included net income from sale of customer specific source code of Rs.210.8 million. Fluctuations in currency rate and impact of reversal of unrealized gain of the previous quarter in the current quarter led to a forex loss of Rs.37.3 million.
The company has also announced that the Board of Directors of the Company has declared an interim dividend of Rs 0.25 per equity share of Re 5 each of the company.
"The results for the quarter are satisfying considering global economic environment continues to remain uncertain. We are seeing strong opportunities for growth especially in Europe as customers are focusing on improving efficiencies and expanding business." says Mr. Rajshekhar Roy, CEO, Four Soft Ltd. "The strong delivery capabilities with higher focus on sales and marketing, especially new geographies, should result in enhanced customer wins and higher profitability" He added.
"Having achieved cost optimization, we will now continue to invest in products, sales and marketing which should help in the long term growth" says Mr. Biju Nair, CFO, Four Soft Limited.
The company has appointed a European sales head to strengthen the global sales team. In this quarter, Four Soft achieved CMMI level 3 certification and its flagship product Four Soft eCustoms was certified by Netherlands customs authority.

Four Soft's warehouse management software, 4S eLog, executed through its subsidiary Four Soft UK Limited has been implemented as a hosted solution for Calderhead from Four Soft's Datacenter in Nottingham, UK. Calderhead is a leading logistics service provider which provides temperature controlled warehousing and transport solutions to a range of food manufacturers handling both raw materials and finished goods on behalf of their customers from their base in Redditch.
Calderhead required a modern warehouse management solution that would be able to rotate stock according to manufactured and expiration dates, a system able to automatically calculate their storage and handling charges (billing) and provide their customers with web access to their own stock levels along with being able to place orders electronically.

Four Soft (4S) (NSE: "FOURSOFT", BSE: 532521), a global leader offering software solutions for transportation and logistics industry, reported its consolidated financial results for the quarter and financial year ended March 31, 2009. The company has recorded operating revenues of Rs 194.59 crore for FY09, an increase of 13.44% as compared to Rs 171.53 crore in FY08. The EBITDA was at Rs 67.73 crore against 27.03 in last financial year, however current year profit included Rs. 10.06 crore of currency fluctuation gain and Rs. 21.08 crore from a unique transaction involving sale of customer-specific legacy software solution to an existing customer on non- exclusive basis.

The test run at Rohlig Poland has yielded positive results and they have started using the software in live environment from the second week of January 2009. Rohlig Poland, in its Poznan warehouse, is using
4S eLog to support two of its customers now and targets to automate the processes of its other warehouse customers by end of February 2009. The implementation of the new warehouse management software will trigger dramatic improvements for Rohlig Poland, including real time processing of orders, streamlined procedures, enhanced warehouse management capabilities, reduced errors and increased productivity.

Four Soft wins WMS contract from Calderhead, UK |

Four Soft (4S) (NSE: "FOURSOFT", BSE: 532521), a global leader offering software solutions for transportation and logistics, is pleased to announce that it has recently signed a contract with Calderhead Refrigerated Transport, UK, to implement its warehouse management system - 4S eLog, in Calderhead's temperature controlled warehousing operation.
The UK based company provides temperature controlled warehousing and transport solutions to a range of food manufacturers handling both raw materials and finished goods on behalf of their customers from their base in Redditch.
Calderhead required a modern warehouse management solution that would be able to rotate stock according to manufactured and expiration dates, a system able to automatically calculate their storage and handling charges (billing) and provide their customers with web access to their own stock levels along with being able to place orders electronically.

Hyderabad, January 28, 2009 Four Soft (4S) (NSE: "FOURSOFT", BSE: 532521), a global leader offering software solutions for transportation and logistics industry, today announced strong financial results for its quarter ended December 31, 2008. The PAT before exceptional items grew to Rs.107 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2008, as compared to Rs. 36 million in the corresponding quarter last year.
The revenues were Rs. 476 million for the quarter ended as compared to Rs. 401 million in the corresponding quarter last year.
The quarter has seen a significant jump in profits due to combination of new sales and increased client mining, improved operational efficiency by increased offshoring to India, favorable currency movements and cost reduction. The company has recorded Rs. 1,510 million in sales and a PBT of Rs. 583 million for the first nine months of the year against Rs. 1,290 million and Rs. 108 million respectively in corresponding period of last year.
The Company has established itself in the domestic market by adding 7 customers in the last one year and also hopes to further strengthen its presence by penetrating deeper into the Indian transportation and logistics industries.
Mr. Biju S Nair, CFO, Four Soft Ltd said, "Four Soft is witnessing a strong growth in profits for last one year. Four Soft has started reaping benefits of acquisition synergies after successful integration. We have consolidated our operations to bring in better operating margins supported by strong financial position.

Four Soft signs contract with Noordex BV to implement 4S eTrans SME |

Hyderabad, 24 February, 2009 Four Soft Netherlands BV, a global leader in software solutions for transportation and logistics verticals and a subsidiary of Four Soft Limited, India, has signed a contract with Noordex BV, to deploy its freight forwarding software - 4S eTrans SME across Noordex BV's multiple locations in The Netherlands.
Four Soft's 4S eTrans SME is a freight forwarding application which has integrated multi-modal modules bundled in a single application. With the help of this application, the freight forwarders as well as their customers will be able to have end-to-end visibility of their shipments instantaneously. It also features like single-time data entry, export and import document management, EDI interfaces with customs and multi-countries / multi-branch access.
